Yes, under the circumstances I believe he is a good President. He is doing a job that is questionably the hardest in the world. He never asked for 9/11 to happen, or Saddam to go against the U.N. resolutions (all 18 of them), or for N. Korea to get all jumpy because no wants to play with them anymore. I think he has made some mistakes, but I also think that a lot of the criticism he takes is misdirected towards him. The guy at the top will always take the heat. That has to be one job where the sh*t rolls up hill. I'm just glad Gore wasn't in office when 9/11 happened, and I'm equally glad that Kerry wasn't around to show weakness to the rest of the world. Bush didn't ask for everything that has happened, but I think he is a tough person and a strong leader who will carry this country through the storm.

See Bush has some issues. Could he have been great? Yes, all have potential to be so, especially when the bar is set low. You must remember in 2000 the expectations for a president were the lowest since the 1920’s. But Bush took several golden opportunities and squandered them for the quick payoff instead of the long-term payout.
First he was elected with support of a solid base and a divided country. He never solidified the country behind him even a pat on the back to his minority party. Then after his election he pretty much gave lip service to his base from the start. They have since gotten wise, six year later and are falling away.
Second, 9-11 was a political gift for him. Nothing politically solidifies a country like a sneak attack. He immediately tried to pin it on Saddam and then started issuing paranoia statements. He also decided to take advice from his political advisors instead of seasoned foreign policy specialists. This led to deploying 14,000 troops in Afghanistan and 170,000 in Iraq. He also then used 9-11 like a calling card and it really has lost its edge, when he associated it with Iraq.
Third, his re-election, while politically perfectly played out ended up squandered with the destruction of the gulf coast and his apparent non-caring attitude about it all.
I personally do not like the guy myself. But think about it. How much the guy would be loved by everyone if he had deployed 170,000 troops in Afghanistan and completely rebuilt it with a successful leader and a rebuilt economy? If he had reached out to the democrats and threw them a bone from the beginning? What if he had just deployed everyone and their mother to New Orleans right away? His approval ratings would still be at least above 60%. But since he goofed so big he is sitting at despised and 32%. So no, he is not a good president, mediocre is pushing it.

He will, without a shadow of a doubt, be historically known as the absolutely WORST President ever. He is a disgrace to the United States and the Free World. He should be impeached for crimes against humanity and for being the biggest idiot that ever lived.
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
I did not vote for this imbecile and those who did should be tarred and feathered.

NONE of the Bush's should have been allowed in to office. The Bushes have bushwacked us in so many ways. Their reputations are not exactly white either. Bush cant even control his own daughters... what makes you think he can control a whole damn country?! He will go down as the worst **** head president in the entire known galaxy,... let alone the world!

In what way is he - he's good for a good laugh, he good for a good white lie, but other than that I cannot think of what slick willie bush is good for. He is atrocious and if anyone should be impeached, it should be him. I love to read the bumper sticker: "Clinton lied, but nobody died." Bush is lying to the public every day and no one can stop him so long as the Republicans sit on their behinds in Congress and do nothing, poor Democrats have no way of stopping his war maching, portfolio building scheme...

He has done a terrific job in the face of absolute adversity. During the worst American humanitarian crisis in decades he has stood by his faith, he has acted consistent with his beliefs and he has led our nation against a people bent on destroying us. The radical muslims have always sought our destruction, this military campaign has just simply flushed them out like a bunch of roaches.

He's not the worst president. But I wouldn't vote for him the first two times, but I didn't vote for the Dems either. They all are losers.
