right now the current trend is nostalgia, remembering the "good ol' days" as evident by all the late 60's and 70's music played in commercials. also muscle cars of that period ( i happen to have a 1973 mustang) comparing to current models. viet nam war gets older folks attention still. the trick is to get a believable link between their past and your product
