Well, wine, maybe because its prime ingredients are grapes and fruits which have antioxidants but beer is made from grains, yes, also a plant but I would have to say no due to the process that it's made. Also the amount you drink, its not bad at 1 glass a day but at how much you drink considering that you did not notice the spell checker, NO, stop immediately.

Everyone has an opinion and some will say beer is good, by taking the ingredients of beer out of context. Below you'll find some health problems that beer and other alcholic beverages can cause.

I hope this answers your question.

By definition good means - 1. Being positive or desirable in nature; not bad or poor: a good experience; good news from the hospital. 2. Having the qualities that are desirable or distinguishing in a particular thing: a good exterior paint; a good joke. 3. Serving the desired purpose or end; suitable: Is this a good dress for the party?

In my opinion beer is NOT good for you health, but that is probably because as a christian man, I do not drink alcoholic beverages, since I have a close relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus.

Based upon the definition from dictionary.com, if beer serves a desired purpose or end for you, then you can consider it good for you only by opinion.

However, sinces it does have alcohol in it here are a list of health problems that can potentially be caused by too much intake of beer or other alcholic substances.

Liver. Since alcohol is so toxic, clearing it out of the system is a priority. And when the liver gets busy getting rid of alcohol, it gets behind in other functions, like maintaining stable blood-glucose levels to the brain. It takes a pounding in the process, too. Cirrhosis is a common result of long-term drinking, and one of the main killers of older drinkers.

Stomach. Alcohol irritates the stomach lining, and vomiting is a particularly visible result. Heavy drinking can lead to stomach problems and ulcers.

Central Nervous System. Alcohol depresses almost every brain function, from balance to breathing. And even though effects lessen as booze leaves the body, regular drinking raises tolerance, so that heavier drinkers can drink more without getting drunk. They do, that is, until liver damage reverses the process, which speeds up damage to the brain and the rest of the body.

Vitamin B - Alcohol depletes supplies of B-complex vitamins, which are essential to basic body processes. Vitamin B deficiencies can harm the heart, liver, and other organs, and cause muscle and nervous tissue damage, anemia, even beriberi (a disease involving nerve degeneration, muscle weakness, and heart problems).

Vitamin A - Carotene (vitamin A) deficiency reduces the body's resistance to disease and impairs vision, particularly the ability of the eyes to adjust to darkness.

Vitamin C - Alcohol also blocks absorption of vitamin C, and can lead to anemia, reduced resistance to disease, and overstimulation of the adrenal gland.
And alcohol's interference with essential nutrients carries a double whammy: Not only does it drain vitamins already in the body, it also slows absorption and retention of new nutrients.

Google and beer? Well you'd have a hard time trying to ask a question if you're drunk!

No seriously, beer in moderation has been clinically proven to be good for your health. The key word is MODERATION, no more than 12 ounces a day. Double that and you're risking a variety of health problems. Beer is said to thin the blood and be good for the heart.. but again, if you're getting a headache after drinking your fourth beer I would reconsider the abuse.

It all depends on the amount consumed. Consuming moderate amounts of beer (and other alcohol) have been loosely correlated with a lower risk of heart dissease, as well as help some processes of bone growth such as depositing calcium on bones.

Drinking a lot of beer (or other alcohol) over a long period of time is definitely not good for your health. Numerous liver disorders and cardiovascular issues result from drinking over a long period of time.

There are also short-term issues if you don't drink responsibly. Alcohol poisoning results from having too high a blood alcohol level, and can result in permanent brain damage or death. Also, as I'm sure you're aware, excessive alcohol reduces reaction times, increasing the likelihood of injury or death while driving or falling. It is also also linked with suicide and increased risk of violence but these are not necessarily a result of drinking.

Beer, has been in the news, and is theorized to decrease chances of cardiovascular disease. However, that is at a regular consumption amount. If you take more than the 1 dose of alcohol an hour (285mL for beer makes the 10mg of alcohol), it could negatively affect your health. However, beer isn't usually for your health, it's for enjoyment! Just watch the amount you drink!

I've always heard one glass of wine or one beer a day is good for you, it cleans out your kidneys, but don't drink more than that or it's bad for your liver.
