It seems like the democrats have now lost most if not all of the mainstream voice in their party.

I think it is a great idea!

At a minimum he will split the Democratic vote and reduce the possibility of Hillary Clinton becoming president. At best he might actually give a 3rd party a viable foothold since the Libertarians can't seem to quit repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot.

The Democratic party is ruled from the far left and as a result they no longer look like the party Joe Lieberman joined. They will turn on him.

He'd still be a Republican disguised as a Demomcrat who ran as an independent and he'll get his butt whipped. Poor Joe, he should give up and retire to a life of leisure in Israel.
