In 6 years of college I have never encountered a more accurate stereotype of any one group of people as being more right, more often, by more people, as: Drunks, Narcissistic, Self-Absorbed, Spoiled, Snotty, Self-Important bunch of people. 99% of them are like this and 1% are in denial. Yes, all 100% have one or more of these traits. No matter how ugly the woman or how pathetic the male, if they belonged to this group, they would loudly brag about it, and you could just see people wandering away at a party or classroom. All around campus people put signs for parties or sport get togethers and there would always be: "Sorry, no Sor or Frat allowed." To this day, I still encounter these same attitudes from these people. What gives?

Dude, the one word you are looking for is OBNOXIOUS. And you are right, the stereotype is true in my experience. I think that THEY think they belong to some exclusive club and are special. Most people who belong to a club think this to some degree.

Ignore stupid chicks who belong to sororities and deny what stuck-up whores they really are. What a shock! They don't see it! Isn't that really the crux of the problem? The sor/frat people don't see how obnoxious and spoiled they are?

Being a member of a sorority i know that stereotype is untrue. How can you judge all people from the actions of a few.

Since they pay for their friends (or to have "friends" they think they're better...because (they think) they can afford them. Why else would there be so much drama?
