I know it is normal to have spotting after sex, an internal exam, etc. So what is the difference between that and bloody show that occurs right before the onset of labor? Someone told me that if it is pink, it is bloody show and if it is red, it is from the cervix. Someone else said that color doesn't matter and if it pink or red accompanied by contractions it is labor. Who is right?

The "bloody show" that you refer to is the loss of your mucus plug that has been sealing off the cervix. The color of the blood doesn't really matter as much as the amount of blood that is lost. A "bloody show" should be a small amount of blood or blood-tinged mucus. A large amount of blood could indicate placental problems. Usually the bloody show signifies dilation of the cervix. It is a sign of early labor and may or may not be accompanied by contractions. If you are worried about the amount of blood you are losing, you should consult with your obstetrician.

just go see a doctor... if it's not a medical opinion go get one! the human body is a complex and wonderful biomedical marvel, and every individual responds to circumstances differently. if EVERYBODY had exactly the same actions/reactions to the same stimuli medicine wouldn't be so complicated.
