I don't think the government has any business making any language official. I sure as hell don't need them putting words in my mouth as I have a wife that does that all too often.

the whole point of america is that you can speak any language you want. the whole fact that english comes from europe then it would be immoral for america to pick any language as the "official" language

They should!! After all this is the United States of America! My ancestors came here and learned to speak english. I think that it is a load of crap that Americans can't get a job unless they also speak spanish! I just think that it should be required that you speak english to be come a citizen of this country!
