In March I ordered and paid online for a book from http://www.nbcindia.com/ who claim to be India's largest online bookstore. In spite of nine emails so far, neither has the book been delivered nor has the money been returned.

It is difficult because it is an international website and not in the US, if it were in the US, you could file a complaint with the better business bureau and FBI but I'm not sure about India...is there a number you can call? How did you pay? If paypal, there are directions on the site on how to file a claim. Also, you could contac the credit card company and see if they can provide you with any leads.

Did you use paypal? you can file a complaint for non-delivery of item. If you used a credit card then don't pay the charge for the book and let the credit card company know, they'll take care of it.
