Church is the reason I don't attend church each sunday. The churches in my vicinity (within 30 min drive in all directions) are full of mean, spiteful, self righteous christians. I don't have the need to be brainwashed each sunday in order to believe and trust in my Lord Jesus Christ. I am not scared, for I keep Christ in my heart as he instructed, so that no one can ever take him away.

My dear, you answered your own question. You go to church because you have fear.
Not going to church doesn't imply lack of faith in God. It implies lack of faith in the church and those who run it.
