McDs first started in the 1950s. America KICKED butt in Europe and Asia during World War II.

it isn't McD's specifically, but the need to be immediately gratified and/or attend to any temporary void we might feel NOW. Need, consume, dispose, next need. Americans have no concept of taking their time, enjoying what "is" (?) unless "is" happens to be something manufactured to be fun.
When identity, contentment, and achievement becomes measured in crap, more than likely, everything else becomes tainted with crap.

i take it your not american. and yeah it is the stuff in mcdonalds foods. the sugar not only causes fatness and depression, but the sugar clogs our arteries and makes our hearts beat faster than they should, causing agression in most people. i stopped eating mcdonalds for about 2 months now and so far i've lost 20 pounds. fast food is just as bad as cigarettes but people just don't acknowledge it. the real question is why are we americans so stupid?
