Yes, Linksys is the brand that I recommend for establishing a wireless network. May I also suggest that you TURN ON your wireless security and for gosh sakes, WRITE DOWN your password.

DO NOT BUY DLINK!!! They're horrible. Netgear is bad too. Linksys is made by Cisco but these are their cheap products. But they're still good. I have an Asante that just quit on me and I switched it with a Linksys WRT54G. This thing flies!! It puts out an awesome signal. This is the best router I've bought yet. I totally recommend Linksys.

They are OK. You get what you pay for. They have a tendency to just die after a year or two. And Linksys tech support is horrible. I've never met so many people from India whose name was Joseph, Mary or Michael (yes, I know that's not their real names). I'll probably try a NetGear next time.

NO, NO
It is NOT really the "N" type it is "DRAFT", that means, it is not really the N standard. The N standard is not yet finished, Liniksys and others are rushing to get something out early but there is a possibility that it will NOT be compatiable with the real N standard that will be agreed on later this year.

In general, Linksys stuff is crummy.
Buy D-Link. They are ugly, but at least they are reliable.

LINKSYSes are usually VERY complicated to install. The onscreen instructions usually end up messing up the router so you have to go out and get that one replaced. STAY/GO with D-Link.

It works very well...It's just that SOME users are not capable of completely reading the directions. After that, take good care of your network (ie. put a password on it, I recommend WEP 128-bit).

Makes sure it works with your internet provider. I purchased it and found out after the fact that it was not compatible.
