Why do want to be a model? You certainly can attain many goals, but understand why you want to first...
And don't let any of these answers upset you. You are not "too anything." Models come in all sized, dispite what people believe. Be yourself and be happy with who you are.

You are marginally overweight for your height (your range should be 120-132), but you will probably grow a few more inches if you are only in your early teens, not to mention shed your "baby fat". Even if you do grow taller (models range as short as 5'7 to 5'11 avg.) and lose weight, most agencies look for women who are actually "underweight" and proper proportioned for the standard model size clothing (very unrealistic). You could do well in commercial print if you have a unique look. Work on your weight, get tones, and put together a professional portfolio (quite expensive - up to $1000 per photoshoot) and then apply to agencies. Trying never hurts, goodluck!

Hi,
Models come in various shapes, sizes, colors, ethnic backgrounds, etc...
It all depends on the type model you would like to be. There are runway models, swimsuit/ligerie models, hand models, face models, plus size models.
I would suggest an area of modeling you would like and work at it, and be realistic. I would also suggest a second passion in the event that the modeling doesn't work out.
The sky is the limit and you can do ANYTHING you want...GO FOR IT!!!

I think models are typically taller, but you know that 5'4" girl on Top Model went to the top three...since it doesn't seem the model industry will get any less superficial anytime soon, either pray to grow or get used to very, very tall heels now.

I think you'll be told that you need to be taller and thinner. But if you're in your early teens you'll probably grow several inches. I personally think it's stupid that models need to be so thin... I think beauty comes in all sizes. Whatever you do, don't go on some crazy diet to lose weight or start starving yourself, eat healthy and exercise regulary and go for it! :) Best of luck!
Btw, anyone who tells an impressionable young girl she is fat, is an idiot!!!

I don't know. It would depend on you, because you might gain more weight, or stay 5'4". I would try losing a lot more weight, because no offense or anything, I think you're a little overweight for now to be a model.

To be a model you need to do two things
1) grow at least 6 inches
2) lose about 20-25 or so pounds.
I'm 5'2" and I'm 50 pounds lighter than you girl!!! (I'm 17)

if you're in your early teens, then hopefully you will grow more if you want to be model material. Models are way taller, like 5'8 minimum. furthermore, your BMI (body mass index) shows you are overweight. models are usually underweight. calculate it out here: http://www.seventeen.com/health/bmi/spc/0,,665141_665142,00.html
try exercising and eating right for a little, if you grow more, i'm sure you can meet your aspirations!

Your weight would present a problem for you as a model. Modeling agencies tend to look for clothes racks with legs for models. (Skinny)
