Sorry, but you need a refresher in Biology 101. It's the males who fight over the females, rather than the other way around. In nature, males are expendable. Except for the few species such as eagles, who mate for life, males compete for different females each breeding season. Females pick the nest site, males help build it, and share the load when it comes to incubating and feeding.
We, as humans, don't do this because no known species does this. It's simply against nature's rule. Humans do, however, protect their young, and both sexes are involved in this process. That isn't always the case among birds. In some species, the first nestling to hatch shoves the others out of the nest so they can get all the food. And birds raid other species nests for food, which we don't do.
Hope that answers your question?

Well, you've heard the saying Birds of a feather flock together. And the same applies to people. When you're in school, notice there's several little cliques...the Nerds in one table, the Art people in another, the Football guys, the Cheerleaders, the A students, etc. It's human nature to want to be with your own kind and many people apply this to ethnicity as well. Some people won't marry out of their ethnic group and some will. It's interesting the way we interact with our own kind and with others.

A good wife stands by her man.
And a good man honors and respects his woman.
Birds are all different, from what I know. You can't say a bowery birds and bald eagles act the same. And people are different too. Some people, the women gang up against the male, and only use him for what good he can do to them. Other people, the men exploit as much as possible the women. You can't say all people are the same.
