Sometimes I smell flowers, the woods, animals , chocolate or bubblegum even though nothing's there. What does this mean?

And no, I've never had any sort of transplants.

If you smell something beyond sweetness, it can be 3 things.

1. Someone from the otherworld is trying to contact you..possibly a relative. And if it was in a grave yard, it is the scent of death. It is very sweet...I have experienced this.

2. It is the Divine/God calling to you. Been there too.

3. It is a Death Omen....I know its morbid, but I have had an experience with it.

Don't worry, you are probably developing a better sense of awareness. Do you enjoy nature, talk walks through the woods, interact with pets? Well things that this are normal. Even after so many years gone from the homeplace, I can still smell the creek that was below my home in the woods. Enjoy the sensations and let them flow through you!

I don't know about the flowers,woods,animals... but with the chocolate or bubblegum... it could be something you are craving to eat. It happens to me sometimes, I'll just get a taste in my mouth... SunChips for example... and then I'm satisfied with what I'm eating.

Have you ever had a heart, liver, kindey, or any other type of transplant? What about a blood transfusion? Sometimes when patients recieve other people's..... uh... parts... they take on qualities of that person. For example, if your kidney donor loved the smell of Victoria's Secret perfume, you may smell it and love it even though no one around you is wearing it.

It could be the presence of a spirit. I have heard that when you smell flowers and there are no flowers there that it is the presence of God. I have awaken from a deep sleep and smelled flowers in my room. So I hope that is was God and not some spirit looming in my room while I am in dreamland.

I don't think it really means anything. Sometimes visual memories surface without warning or because of a trigger, it can be the same with smells, you're just remembering the smells. Enjoy them! They are memories and glimpses into your past.

you sure there's no air fresheners in the room?

Are any of these smells associated with a memory? Smell can be put into memory just like visual/auditory images. It's just that it's uncommon for people to use smell/taste as their primary sensory mode (visual is first, auditory second).

You probably have developed an intuitive sense of smell. Smells is also a form of communcation, along with clairvoyance (spiritual vision), clairaudience (hearing), etc. You did not provide enough information to tell if that is what you are experiencing. Read my friend's post about when she experienced smells while talking to me and asking Amma questions telepathically:

Have you checked with your doctor about it? I know that if one smells roses, it's a possible sign of a brain tumour! (don't quote me on that, though...)
Or, as already postulated, it could just be a sensual memory!
(I prefer the latter one, don't you! lol)

;)

It could be a brain tumour or a blood clot on the brain.

You should see a doctor asap.
