It's a great service. I don't miss standing in line at Blockbuster Video. I would highly recommend it.

I haven't had any problems with Netflix. If you say you never got a movie they don't charge you for it but they do keep count of how many times you say you have a problem with receiving a movie or say that you have returned it but they never got it. You don't get your next movie until they get the last one back. I have a rather large queue and they always just send the next one on the list, you also choose the order of your queue so you really decide what order you get the movies in.

I had Netflix for a little over a year. It was really a great service. You set up a movie queue list of movies you want to get. They ship you the one that is at the top of your list at that time. Once I never received a movie but after emailing them, they replaced it right away , no questions asked. They had to run a trace through the shipping company to verify I was not lying.
You eventually have to return the movie but you can keep it for as long as you want because you are paying a monthly service fee. Once you are no longer a member you have to return all movies or they can sue you.

Netflix is a great service but I have this complaint about them on my blog: http://james1052.blogspot.com/2006/02/netflix-is-being-sick-again.html
Q. Has anyone had a bad experience with them?
A. Yes. See the link, above.
Q. Also, people say you get a movie that's "in queue", so do you just pick a list and they randomly send you a movie without you picking from the list?
A. You go online and pick the movies you want in your queue. If you want one sent to you sooner, just move it higher in your queue. You pay a flat fee to have a certain amount of DVDs out per month. There is no such thing as a late fee. The concept is good, but the danger is THROTTLING. Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netflix#.22Throttling.22_and_the_Chavez_lawsuit for more details! Plus check out the complaints the world has about Netflix here!: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2005-52,GGLG:en&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=netflix+throttling&spell=1

I use netflix and I really like it. I get to choose 3 movies at a time and their selection is really really good. It's not like the old columbia house was for music where they just send you whatever happens to be featured. If you don't get a movie, you can simply report it as lost in the mail but I have never had a problem. I think there is a clause in there about failing to return a movie. I think they make you purchase it if it has been a very long time. But I fail to see that happening. Also the turn around is pretty quick. If I send a movie back today, I'll get the next one on my list in about 3 days.

I love Netflix. You can take as long as you would like to return a movie, but you can only have a certain number out at the same time (the minimum is 3 - it depends on the plan that you choose). You should not say that you never received a movie if you did, because that is wrong. It's called lying and stealing. Very bad. You create your own queue from a bazillion movies online, and it's extremely easy. I love 'em! :o)

I've been a member for about a year and half and I like it. I'm on the plan that gives you 3 movies at a time. The turn-around time for me is pretty good (about 1 day's mail time for them to get the movie & another day to get my next one). I've received one disk that was damaged & there was one disc that I never received. Both times, all I had to do was report it to Netflix (there are instructions on their site) and they resent the movie to me. They do not send movies to you at random. You can add up to 500 movies in your queue and they send them to you in the order that the movies appear on your list. If a movie is not available, then they will go to the next movie on your list. You can add, delete, or re-sort your queue at any time on their website.

I have to tell you that "I love" Netflix. All you have to do is select whatever movie you like..it's added to your list of films. You pick the number of movies you want and when your done with a movie mail it back and they will send you the next selection from your list...postage payed for by them. You get billed every month and that's it. I recommend it. Girl I love having movies come to my house without going out to buy one...and the best thing is you pick what movies you want to see...it goes way back to movies like "PAPERMOON" to "SOMETHING NEW". Get it and let me know how you like it. I've been with them I want to say 2 years now. No problems at all!!

If you don't return a movie once in a while or say you don't get one once in a while they will forgive it. If it happens more than they think it should they will bill you for the cost of the movie to your credit card.
If you don't have any movies in your list they will keep emailing you until you add some to your queue. They won't mail you random movies.

Just try both Netflix and Blockbuster Online at the same time and see which one is better. Both have free trials right now with zero obligation or risk. Might as well put them to the test and report the results to us later!
I don't know how to get Netflix free anymore, but here's the link for a free month of Blockbuster Online:
