he is extremely controlling and really innaporopriate with her and me. he talks about killing her parents, and they've been married for about 3 months now, and he is turning abusive. he won't let her talk to ANYONE but him, and he "grounds" her. he takes away her car, her cell phone, and he won't let her go anywhere. he knows all of her passwords, and anytime she goes anywhere he has to be there with her. he threatened to kill my pets once.
since by his rules, i can't talk to her, is there any way that i can get him away from her?? i love my cousin and i don't want him to start hitting her or anything. i hate to see her hurt. everyone has given up on her and so everyone just makes themselves blind to what is going on. i am only 16. no one can make her leave him, because she says the only time she is happy is when she is with him, but i think she only says that because she just doesn't kno what to do. because who could honestly say that they are happy with someone like that???

she's only 16. i KNOW my cousin. well. i kno that she could never be truly happy with someone like that. he is sucking the life out of her.
what can i do???

if your cousin wants to be with that guy there isnt anything you could do . but if she wants your help to leave that guy than you should help her by trying to get other people involved. because if he is as abusive as u say he is den he isnt goint to let her leave him so its better you get help instead of just gettin yourself involved and maybe getting hurt yourself

You can do nothing my dear. You must let her live with her choice. That doesn't mean you wont be there for her at all. You just have to watch in the distance and let her deal with it. If you get involved, you will be the "Bad Guy" and you do not want that at all or the abusive man will come after you! This type of behavior has been in existence before this happened and will be in existence long after we are gone. They don't change! Stay clear though, that is my only advice!!!!!!!

Talk with your and her parents about it. This situation is probably over everyone's head at the moment. Your cousin is the one that will have to decide to end it now that she is married and will probably need a lot of help to recover when she does. Just let her know that you will be there for her.

Good God. How old is her husband? Have an intervention or something and get everyone together and tell her what is wrong. I'd be pissed at her parents for signing the papers. 16 is way too young to get married. No matter how mature people think they may be.

go to a counselor have him/her help your cousin first go to the police tell them he is not only abusive to her but to her family and you as well they can get him for that but have proof and if you can get your cousin to go on a trip with you go somewhere where you have no contact with the rest of the world no phone no mail nothing she will eventaully see the light my mom was in the same situation get her out of there! a.s.a.p

She is young and passive, he is cotnrolling, as long as he doesnt hit her you cant do anythign but she will have to the the one to complain to the police if he does something.

im sorry. but this guy should not be seeing her or you or anyone that he can hurt. ummmmmmm..... GO TO THE POLICE!!!!!!! i am only fourteen and my advice may be stupid. BUT GO TO THE FRIGGEN POLICE. before someone gets hurt badly. i dont know if this sounds weird. but i'll pray for you guys.
