hmmm..my first time. I remember my breasts were starting to hurt and i felt them growing. My older sister always looked out for me and she had those beginner bras. I tried one on for fun...a few weeks after i strated wearing all the time. It felt really good. I felt all grown up and mature and so sure of myself. I bragged alot about it. Must have gotten on a lot of peoples nerves. But anyways. Hey girl...congrats.

When I got my first bra I was 11 years old. It was hard for me to tell my Mom I needed a bra, because I was never really close/open with my parents, and got embarrassed when asking personal things like a bra, or when I started my period, pads. The first few times wearing it were kind of uncomfortable. I wasn't used to having to wear extra clothing, especially clothing that was fitting(I wore loose shirts). Sometimes I forgot to put it on, because I wasn't used to it. After a while I got the hang of it, and started remembering(especially as I started NEEDING it).

I've never heard any stories about bra's that were untrue, then again, I've never heard stories about bra's, since my friends and older friends never talked about personal... supplies. We just had a good time.

Getting it fitted wasn't too hard, just look for a style that you think looks good/comfortable, hold the different sizes up and judge if you think it will, and if you think it might - go to a fitting room and try it on. If it's too big, aim for smaller sizes, if it's too tight, then aim for bigger sizes, but make sure that it covers the breasts and it fitting around the torso.

A lot of people I know take their bra's off before they go to bed to make it more comfortable to sleep, cooler to sleep ect. I personally feel naked, insecure and exposed without my bra(I have large breasts - part of the reason) so I wear my bra all day, and I wear a bra to bed. To me(since I've been used to them for some time) wearing a bra is comfortable and even more comfortable than being without.

I was so embarrased to ask for a bra that I wore a one piece bathing suit under my clothes for like 2 years! Definately don't be scared to ask for one because you will get horrible stretch marks if you don't support you breasts properly from the beginning! I asked my mom and she bought me one. I don't think you need to worry about getting fitted until they are fuller (when you actually qualify as a cup size!). Any trainer bra should do for the first bit. I didn't actually get properly fitted until i was 20 (i was wearing the right size anyways - it's pretty easy to tell what size fits you the best when you try on a bunch of different sizes).

Frankly, I was mortified! I laugh at it now, but I was shy, and my mom told me we had to go and get me a bra. So, me and my five older siblings went to JC Pennys with my mom. They all hung out at the shoe section, while mom and I were across the isle in the lingerie. the sales women took my measurement right there in the middle of the floor! While my sisters and brothers laughed at me.

I was embarrassed.

Just know, that you can ask the sales associate to go to a private room for measurement. Have fun. Bras come in all colors, patterns and designs. Try different kinds on.

Good luck!
I hope you get lots of support!

Don't worry about it. You'll probably start off with a trainer's bra. My mom took me to get my first one..I never got fitted though.
It's not uncomfortable don't worry. At first though..it may be. But just kkep trying until you find one that you like best.
Good Luck.

Well it can be embarrasing but don't let it be. your mom would be the best person to go to, if not your mom then go to an older friend (girl), that acts like a mature adult. You don't have to get fitted just try on one to see what fits you best. Although I think it is a good idea to get fitted. As for wearing them just remember to take it off at night, I've heard it can cause breast cancer if you don't. They are really easy to get used to, you'll forget you even have one on. If you have any other questions you can email , as a fellow girl I understand LOL

I didn't ask, I got told by my dad that it was time to get a bra. My mom never did those types of things for me. My dad took me shopping and I got one. I was embarrased as hell to wear it, but now I'm all grown up and I am happy my dad cared enough to take me. I have young daughters and I understand why he did.

You are so much luckier now! The styles are sooo much cuter and more comfortable! My mom was great about it! Just remember, always, always always keep one beige bra on hand, (just for those tops that may be a bit see through!)
