I find the situation completely reversed.

People who proudly call themselves "liberal" don't even understand the meaning of the word. When I bring up a point of view contrary to what they believe, these pseudo-liberals act as if they have some Pope-like infallibility, that they are morally superior. To question them is considered a personal attack.

I was just reading Ann Coulter's new book, Godless. She cites a Republican ad which simply quoted what three prominent Domocrats were saying about withdrawal from Iraq. Evidently, Republicans are not even allowed to QUOTE Democats. I've heard of people objecting to being taken "out of context", but the Republicans were publicizing exactly what these Democrats were saying.

Unreal.

Honestly for the many Republicans that I have spoken to, it's that they feel like they are above the rest of society. I do not mean to speak about every single Republican in the country, but the most out spoken Republicans believe that they are always right and anyone that does not agree with them must be completely ignorant, uneducated, and uninformed. Free thinking is scary for many Republicans because it means that may have to think for themselves and possible re-think some of the garbage that they have been programmed to believe. Again, I am not speaking about any of the level-headed republicans out there...if there is such a thing!

I'd say that's true of many people devoted to politics. I've seen more liberals and leftists smashing windows and fighting police to protest the WTO, Wal-Mart or the Republican Convention. Maybe you're making reference to Ann Coulter's new book; she's pretty harsh in it and I was surprised to see her sarcastic sense of humor go too far. But those leftists are pretty filled with hate, too. Most republicans don't talk much about politics because they are too busy working. If you want to see a lot of hateful people, try this: http://www.zombietime.com/world_cant_wait_sf_11-2-2005/
I was pretty shocked to see people saying these things (I saw it on a Yahoo discussion board). If talking politics gets hateful, excuse yourself; there's better things in life to do than watch someone get all bitter.

Because you have it reversed.

The Republicans are full of optimism, respect and love for our country. They see the glass half full instead of half empty and believe in U.S exceptualism.

We believe in the shining light on the hill that is America. If it weren't for Republicans, America would have never beat the fascist state that was Germany.

So any one that believes that U.S is evil check your history books and do not believe everything that is taught in a liberal controlled school system.

Liberalism is a disease caused by too much koolaid and ignorance and not enough pride and love for this country.

Whoa there!! I'm a Republican and CONSERVATIVE and proud of it. I don't froth at the mouth but I do state my opinion. Why do Democrates think they have to support everyone that thinks they don't have to work for a living!! I have no problem with helping the needy but the lazy - FORGET IT!

Democrats say that Republicans are full of hate because it truly is a cheap thanks to circumvent protecting Obama's rules and circumvent debating. it is so ordinary as that. Edit: good guy's reaction in this question is a proper celebration of what I purely defined; plus he fails to understand that one and all of what you (the unique asker of this question) stand for is actual FOR each and each and every of the betterment of the individuals and under no circumstances for purely the fellow. as an celebration, overtaxing the wealthy may purely provide human beings the concept they could get stuff and advantages for free and under no circumstances artwork flat out on their personal; while as letting human beings keep their not basic earned money can provide human beings an incentive to artwork flat out and therefore better each and each and every of the monetary equipment and all of existence. it is like the former putting forward, 'provide a guy a fish and he eats for an afternoon, coach a guy to fish and he eats for an entire life". it is an similar good concept. no longer to tutor individual freedoms are good for all. Why may authorities encroachment be good after all except for nationwide safe practices applications?

You can't, convert the other side by pissing them off, and that is just
the way Repulicrats and Democrans go about things. It's a shame the way they act out their "beliefs"... and yet they have the nerve to try and make the rest of the world in their image!

VOTE 3rd PARTY! PLEASE!

I have always felt Democrats are the hateful ones. Maybe it just comes from frustration. It would help if they had a sense of humor
