Okay, #1, yes too many kraken attacks. I also agree that Jack should get with Elizabeth, and then make Will captain throughout the whole movie. And you have to remember, this movie was just a set-up for the third one. And I for one think there was character development. Elizabeth is having to deal with her evil side (and the hints that she wants Jack like the compass said) and Jack has to deal with his good side, and the fact that he likes Elizabeth. Honestly, I thought Will was just there. That's okay though, 'cause Orlando Bloom is hot.

Not squid.. Kracken... K-r-a-c-k-en.
I don't, I feel that the reasoning behind why Elizabeth acted the way she acted towards Jack was extremely plausible.
I actually thought there was too much Jack. In the original movie from 2003, Jack was more of a side character. Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan were the main characters. Johnny Depp did such a wonderful performance, that I think the director and writers felt they needed to step up his presence in the trilogy, which is why the second movie is nearly entirely about Jack Sparrow.
Jack may have died, but don't fear, in about 2 years from now, the summer blockbuster will be: (drum roll please) Pirates of the Caribbean 3: The End of the World. In which Captain Barbossa, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swan venture into the lands of the dead to return Jack Sparrow from that world. There is rumor of Elizabeth being kidnapped, and there is still the plot twist of Lord Beckett having control of Davy Jones heart, Norrington regaining his honor, Governor Swan in jail and so much more.
I didn't think the plot was confusing. Jack Sparrow, 13 years prior, made a deal with Davy Jones. The deal made Jack the Captain of the Black Pearl for 13 years, after which Jack would spend 100 years before the mast of the Flying Dutchman. Of course, Jack doesn't want to spend 100 years as a sailor on someone else's ship, so he devises a scheme. He needs to find the key that will open the chest containing Davy Jones' heart. Lord Beckett, also wanting the heart so that he can control the sea, sends Will Turner to find Jack Sparrow and gain his compass, a mystical object traded to him by the witch Tia Dalma, that points to the one thing your heart desires.
Here again I disagree, there was a lot of character development. Nearly every character that returned from the original advanced in someway. You got to know them a little bit more. Ragetti and Pintel (The one-eyed skinny pirate and the fat bald one who calls Elizabeth "Poppit") had their characters increased. Their perfomance was probably some of the best within the movie.
It was, all-in-all, a good "sequel". Was not as good as the first, but that is extremely rare. If they can maintain the excitment and strangeness of this world, the final chapter of the trilogy will be good.

Dont worry Jack comes back int he 3rd because johnny depp is credited in it :-)
I just hope they dont turn jack into one of those creatures that work for davy jones.
what are the squid attacks?
what i wish is that the ending was a bit different. i mean i loved it and all but i just wished it was longer. LIke maybe show the reactions that will and elizabeth and the others had when they saw him.
"Where is my ship???"

I want closure!! I was left with too many questions. I know it's supposed to be a cliff hanger ending to drive you to the third, but I felt as though none of the plot was completely tied off.
Is there really a "thing" between Jack and Elizabeth, or was she just seducing him to kill him?
Is the Pearl really destroyed?
Is Jack really dead? (You can't honestly believe that they would write out Johnny Depp from the third)
Are Will and Elizabeth still going to get married?
And what the hell is Barbosa doing back?
I really enjoyed the movie, but I just want some sort of closure.

Jack is in the credits for the next movie so he must not have died. I didnt like the squid. I like the part when the crew was trying to get to Jack and they were hanging in those ball thingsm just swinging.

It was great, but the squid was a bit much. Overall, you could tell they were trying to outdo the original whereas the original was purely fun.

I think if Jack were as drunk as the first movie it would have been funnier and I wish they would have given me some closure until the next UH!
