Can someone give me either from personal knowledge/experience concerning a very serious situation: I have a close friend who is being badly psychologically, emotionally abused-manipulated, conned and constantly lied to and mistreated. She is at the end of her rope and is talking about "taking care of this particular individual". This would be considered "pre-meditative", I guess, but I don't know the law..so I can't say anything. I need some strong facts, preferably legal. Help and Thank you very much.

Well yes, the DA would go for premeditated. However, if her lawyer could prove a history of mental and or physical abuse, he would argue for temporary insanity. Then the jury decides. The more evidence of abuse, the better for her.

Lets be blunt. If she is planning on harming this person, she is in for serious recriminations. GBH, ABH and with intent, shes looking at 9 years. If she goes further? Life, killing with intent is an immediate life sentance. I doubt you mean that far but be warned, shes in for some serious trouble if she taks the laws into her own hands.

My Advice? Tell her to seek professional help or sever ties with this person

Yes that would be considered pre meditative and she could get the death penalty it all depends on where you are located at. Since she told you this you would be the states star witness even if you didn't want to be. The lightest sentence she would get would be life.

Killing or whatever is not the right way to go. Isn't there some type of women's services that she could get in contact with to help her? They usually have contact with lawyers and other such things to help abused women.
