I found out I was prgnant in a walgreens bathroom on june 15th, 2006. The next day I went to a clinic called open door, and the confirmed it, and told me I was about 8 weeks pregnant.
about 3 weeks later I made a trip to the OBGYN...they claimed that from the looks of it, I was either only 3 weeks pregnant..which is a possibity considering I sometimes have irregular periods...
Or, that I was indeed around 11-12 weeks pregnant by then, and everything had stopped growing, meaning I'd had a miscarriage.
The have done bloodwork, and I will get the results monday.
I have reason to believe it's not a miscarriage...and the doctor even said it was strange that I hadn't had any of the signs of one.
and I would have a dead 3 week old embryo inside me, which I would think I would have felt SOME sort of symptom by now, 9 weeks later.
I am hopeful.
because I don't want to lose my baby.
Has anyone else every experienced this?

They should have given you both internal and external sonogram to confirm it.
Yes, that happened to me before. At first, OBGYN Doc said that I have an ectopic pregnancy since my blood test confirmed that I'm pregrant and they cannot find the baby in my uterus, so he ordered a sonogram wand (wand to insert into vaginally) and found out that I was 2 weeks pregnant - in my uterus, not fallopian tube.
Always to be sure to have them double-check.

Look online for something called a blighted ovum. That is a possibility. It might give you something to 'do' while you are waiting. It is so hard. They thought my last baby was a blighted ovum....but he turned out to be just fine! Hard to see by ultra-sound. Make sure that if they suggest anything to you like a D&C that you ask for an ultrasound to confirm their findings. (I have heard some stories about that!) You will know more when the hormone tests come back, hormones double and tripple as you go along. Remember that all of medicine is really educated guesswork.

I had a freind who had an embryo that was dead inside of her. She was extremely sick. She was throwing up constantly and in alot of pain. I think you would have adverse affects by now. Your body would try to reject something that was not living. I am not a doctor but this is my opinion. Just try to stay calm until you find out. Stress is not good for you or your baby.

My mother had a miscarriage and the baby did not come out and she was extremely sick. She didn't go to the doctor until she was extremely sick because she didn't even know she was pregnant. The baby had been in there for 4 wks.

You would think that if you in fact had a miscarriage, your body would have rejected the embrio by now. So, I don't think its a miscarriage. Are they planning on doing an ultrasound? you might want to ask for one to determine how far along your pregnancy is.

Even IF you did lose the baby, which you may not have. They do NOT vaccum it out of you like an abortion. They do a dnc which is dissimular in the fact that it just removes the unborn child. It is not mangled or anything like that.

it happens sometimes when you have a miscarriage, your body doesn't expell the embryo and everything from your uterus. when it happens they have to do a d&c, which is like an abortion, except the embryo isn't living, to remove the tissues.
i hope you didn't have a miscarriage hun, good luck! *hugs*

If you've miscarried, you would have cramping, bleeding, smelly discharge or fainting. If you've had none of this I wouldn't worry. Why don't you go have an ultrasound and find out for sure if the baby is okay?
