There is a matter of doubt whether he will be the USA coach or remain as the coach of the Germans.Since Klinsmann has his residence in California, USA he has coached the Germans by staying in USA for most part of his two year tenure with the Germans. The Germans have hosted a nationwide rally for Klinsmann to stay as their coach. After all Klinsmann is a German. It will be interesting to see what he does.He has asked for some time to decide about it with his family. Now the thing to watch out for is that will Klinsmann be a patriot and coach the German team or will the USA's lucrative offer lure him.

Klinsmann would be a great option for the US National Soccer team. As of now, we are in the minority of nations that still strongly recommend coaches of the same nationality. I think we need to reach out and try to coerce top notch foreign coaches to coach our national team. We also should think about persuading the top notch talent, like Beckham, who said he would consider playing in the MLS in the future. The latter is not important! But we need better coaches because we have the talent. Also, who does this lil Freddy Adu think he is? Last time I heard he got cut from our national team. He had the nerve to say he doesnt know who he will play for in 2010...I say deport his unloyal *** back to Ghana! We need people over here who can show some kind of loyalty to the US, even if they did grow up in another country, you are over HERE now!

Klinnsman would be a GREAT coach! He's offensive minded, so at least we'd be TRYING to score, unlike this year. I've always liked Arena - he was a proven winner in MLS, and he's made great strides with the national team over the last four years, but this World Cup was difficult to watch. I wouldn't be devastated if we renewed with Arena, but I would dump Arena in a heartbeat if we had Klinnsman ready to sign.
I hear the Germans are pushing hard to keep him, though. Wonder what he'll do?

As far as I know they are already trying to get him. I hope he stays with our team though, it wouldn't be the same with an American team, I never feel like the spirit is the same for soccer as it is in European countries. If he does accept, I guess we all know he has his work cut out for him, because those boys need practice. But hey, who knows, maybe we will actually see the USA make it to the finals one day.

It's a national team so you're better off w. a national coach and it's cheaper.
