Alot of the trouble is where some skateboard and often the damage they do to public and private buildings and parks.
At GA TECH for example, there was extreme damage done to hand rails, benches and other outside features by people sliding on these. Next there are been some that even flew into and though windows when they missed, of fell down various stairs ( then guess what the parent wants to sue the school )
skating in an area made for it is great, but non skating areas make people often turn against them.

People are very delicate, and they don't like to be disturbed by fast moving youngsters. It stirs the blood up too much! They are just trying to enjoy their dry toast outside without having to get excited about anything!
Actually, I have no idea. I think it should be legal. It's good exercise, and a good form of transportation. I would be interested to see someone who thinks it should be illegal answer this question, so I could find out myself!

Because they dont like it, and there are dumb people in the world that think they know whats best for EVERYONE and should be able to control EVERYONE.
And its kinda icky. D:
