I have a version of Spy Sweeper from 2003 and I think this happened from spy ware not caught from this program. I have XP home vers, not pro vers. It's realy weird to get the task bar from the top of the page, not the bottom.

that shouldnt have anything to do with spyware. right click on the bar and make sure that it is not "locked" After unchecking this, click and drag it down along the side and to the bottom. Annoyance solved!

THEN...
Once you have dragged the bar back to the bottom, you may want to right click on the bar and check "Lock the Taskbar". That will keep anyone from being able to accidently move it in the future.

All you have to do is drag it to the bottom unless it is locked. In which case, you will have to right click on the taskbar and then click lock the taskbar until it is unchecked. Then, you can click on the taskbar and drag it to the bottom (to drag, simply hold the mouse button down while you move the mouse). The taskbar will not appear to move until the mouse reaches the bottom of the screen. After that you might want to re-lock the taskbar by right clicking it and then clicking lock the taskbar.

Right click on an empty space on toolbar to make sure the lock toolbar isn't check. If it is, uncheck it. Then hold the left click down while centering the mouse over the toolbar and drag to bottom.

Sometimes in Windows 95/98 you could center your mouse on toolbar, hold the left click button and hold down the ctrl button on keyboard and drag to bottom.
