I found and ad about hypnosis used to cure depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, worry, etc. I am not sure if it will really work and I do not want to get in something that could go wrong. Thanks for your time!

Hypnosis can help for many of the issues you mention. It is completely safe. The question I would have is who is doing the advertising. None of this is a one shot approach. Like anything, it depends on the person and the nature of the problem. If we are talking about extreme cases, hypnosis might help but might help if done in a medical setting. If it is something that is more about quality of life or might be causing some barriers, it might be easily handled quickly with a few sessions. Hypnosis can cut down the amount of time that it takes to get a desired goal. Again, it is a great tool, not a magic wand, that can help you accomplish many things. It is not perfect or the perfect answer in all cases but for most, it can help.

I've only experienced hypnosis within the type of a show, so truthfully i'm now not an knowledgeable. However i know that I suffer from nervousness, and even just the hour-lengthy software I participated in honestly helped me some. There *are* hypnotists that maintain mental instablities specifically, and not in the type of leisure surely. I consider they'd be valued at a shot. Of direction, hypnosis quite most effective works when you permit it work, meaning that you think it will possibly aid you. So it fairly relies on your possess impression of it. Good success!

Yes it can and no it can't. It depends on the person actually. What works with one might not work with another for we are all different people. What is necessary is understanding yourself and the willingness to improve. Try and identify those things that depress you and make you feel anxiety. Make a list of things and then decide , of the things on the list, what things you have most control over and what things you have least control over. You know what your goals are and where you would like to be. Start working on one thing at a time picking the small and things you have most control over and forget all together the larger things that you have little or no control over. Find it within yourself a way to love yourself and start working on the things you have most control over. As you win small battles you will start to gain self esteem and confidence. As you win the little battles then you will have more confidence to take on the bigger demons and fights. Take small steps and don't have unreal expectations. Also expect some set backs and some failures because we all have them but the key is to keep going forward. Think of life as the waves in the ocean. If you have ever been to the beach you will know that there are times of High Tide (Anxiety and Depressing times) and then there are times of Low Tide (Tranquility and Peace) .. know that the waves come and they go in cycles just like life. Enjoy the times of peace and moderate the times of High Tide times. Hope this works and helps.

Hypnosis is a process of placing another order into the subconscious.. one must consider there are orders already there and having anoother one placed in there does not eliminate the previous one implanted into your mind. It would appear to be more appropriate to remove that previous order or "trigger", than to applly a new one. That trigger mechanism will remain there, even after another order has been put in place..

That trigger mechanism is what causes your responses and reactions.. even though you may not be aware of where that response is coming from.. It is deeply implanted into the storage area of the mind. It is the result of emotions being stored.

I have had many who have gone thru hypno-therapy. We still had to deal with those triggers to get them back to what they considered an acceptable "Normal"

It can be a useful tool. However, you would do well to make sure you're working with a trained therapist who has your best interest instead of those dollar signs at heart.
