What if this is all just a construct of my imagination—what if I am in a comatose, laying in a hospital bed and dreaming up what I perceive to be reality? What if you are just a figment of my imagination—how can I possibly prove that you really exist?

No, you can't prove it..because you're not. What you see isn't what's actually there. Its a version of it. What you hear, what you smell....all intepretations of your brain. How things actually are and how you perceive them may or may not even be related. Thus, its impossible to 'prove' something that simply isn't true. You are not experiencing the same reality as everyone else.

In all honesty, you can't prove that we really exist. There is no way to prove to you what we say or ask here really is happening. Theoretically, the only way to do so is by proving something we tell you that you couldn't possibly know. In which, if you're in a coma on a hospital bed, whatever you are dreaming or imagining can't be proven. Of course, this just could be your imagination talking to you as well. And, what does it really matter anyway? Reality is an experience. Ever had a nightmare? Does it not affect you when you wake? Do you not remember it, at least for a short time? Not to mention. If you are in a coma, and this is your false reality, you have really bad dreams. Who has a fantasy about this?!?!? In any case, call up Angelina Jole. If she comes over, you're dreaming.

The correct question is what is reality?

It is important to understand that we do not (cannot) have a direct knowledge of "reality". We have contact with "it" only through are experiences on it (that's the way our brain works). So what defines reality, in a sense, is the sum of the experiences we can make on it.

It is easy to verify that what you experience is common to every peoples of your species (or may be living things). This is quite important. We share a common experience of reality. If it was not so then it would not be reality.

Nobody can have the same dream as you. But I can live the same experience as you. If it was not so, communication would be impossible and civilization (survival) would be impossible (the mere fact that you use the same lenguage as everybody else is a proof of it...yes lenguage is an experiment).

Consider the scientific method. The first experience is observation. From it I form a model (image) of a phenomenon and formulate an experiment to verify if this model is consistent with "reality". If this is done correctly, the result of the experiment could tell me something new about "reality" (discovery of antiparticule or curvature of spacetime).

However, before claiming that (and win a Nobel prize, no doubt), I have to convince the community that this is so. Therefore I publish an article describing the experiment and interpretation and ask them to verify my claim. Indeed, a very important step in the scientific method is the reproduction of the experiment. If nobody can reproduce the results of my experiment then it is because it is not real.

This is a very powerful method. Our whole civilization rely on it (in particular it render technologies possible).

certain they are excellent about the trinity dogma. The Roman Catholic Church is extremely sparkling that the trinity dogma isn't a coaching of scripture yet of the clergy. They view the clergy as having the right and authority to coach/interpret The Scriptures any way they prefer and that no one else has this excellent. even as the dogma of the trinity got here in to the church it quite is likewise even as the persecution of persons that disagreed got here into the church. The spirit of persecution is the spirit of devil. even as Nicea changed into convened there have been 304 bishops attending out of a available 5,000 bishops of the church. those 304 presumed to talk for the completed church and got here up with the trinity. there have been different different councils said as that were attended by using majorities of the bishops and those anathematized the trinitarian teachings of Athanasius yet they don't opt to communicate about those councils. Eusebius, the first church historian outdoors of scripture, changed into adversarial to the trinity. it really is why he's not said as a saint yet he's called a superior source of church heritage. Trinitarians choose anybody to imagine the count number number changed into settled in 325 although the controversy has never lengthy previous away. 325 did not even communicate about the holy spirit and what it changed into and how if figured into the newfangled trinity. That got here later at Chalcedon. maximum those that say the believe in the 'trinity' do not even comprehend what that is. that is a seize word, buzzword, although you want to call it that the 'in human beings use.' area element: Constantine changed into supposedly 'switched over' on his deathbed and baptized as an 'Arian Christian' by using an Arian bishop. Even pagans comprehend a million+a million+a million=3, not a million.

The truth is, everyone's reality IS different.

You may want to pick up a copy of "The Seth Material" or "Seth Speaks", both by Jane Roberts Seth.

If a group of people witness an event, such as a robbery and each witness recounts their perceptions of the events, everyone's will be slightly different, even those participating in the event, because each one of us does experience our own reality.

It depends what you accept as proof. Is experience valid evidence? Are empirical data valid evidence? Or is pure logic the only thing acceptable? Using only logic, no, you can't. That's a failing of logic. But if you allow for other evidence, it becomes obvious that it's very egotistical to imagine you are all that exists.

If I shoot you in the leg, or send you to prison -- will you still question "reality"?

Those that think glaciers aren't melting, or that 50% of Africans have HIV, or that the richest 20% own 60x more than the poorest 20%... are holding out skepticism to serve their facile indoctrination into the roles of oppression.

Why do you think we need to prove something deductively to know it?

I thought the same exact thing a few years back after watching the movie "The Cell". It freaked me out. Like who knows. What really freaked me out was that my friend and I were racing jet-skis and he broke his back. But I thought, maybe I was in that accident too and just didn't know it and life is just one big loop.

Well, after three weeks of trying to make myself up, I decided if this was a coma or not, who cares, its my reality and I like it, lol.
