Hazel eyes are light brown streaks over a dark green background, at least that's what it looks like... from personal experience, I can tell you that hazel eyes also can change from browner to greener, based on what their owner is wearing... For example, if wearing an emerald green top, the eyes reflect the green and look greener than brown... does that make any sense? hehehe, hope u followed that!

My drivers license says Hazel. *I* must have filled out the form for that long ago. I thought it was eyes that change from green to blue. What do I know? I'm a clown.

I have hazel eyes. The description varies, usually brownish green and in my case, sometimes with a red blue tint.

I'd say beige or ecru, except that it's applied exclusively to eyes, i.e. you wouldn't say you have beige eyes or ecru eyes and similarly, you wouldn't say you have a hazel car or a hazel carpet.
