Where the hell do some of you people come up with your answers?

I agree with some that NeoCon is not really a slur. It is an actual political term (see the link below).

But, I recognize that some liberals on here use it as a slur and I will generally not take part in such questions.

However, I would like it duly pointed out that when I ask the opposite question, the answers from the "NeoCons" (used on purpose) only prove how nasty some people can be (again, link below).

And neo-conservative is NOT a slur for Jews. Gheez. The only person that I know of who has advanced that philosophy is David Duke - and he ran as a Republican.

Is Neocon a name or a curse? Surely "neocon" is a name for conservatives who supposedly took a new (neo) philosophy. To call someone a neocon is not calling names; is calling someone a republican calling them names?

It would perhaps be calling them names if you added an unpleasing adjective in front of neocon.

So it's okay to throw around "lib" and more derogatory words for progressives but not okay to use terms like neocon? If neocon has become a derogatory term it's the "new conservatives" own fault for being such hypocrites.

Is Neocon a term of abuse now?

Maybe we should just refer to the Neocons as "fascists" in future, so as not to offend them.

Ronnie, NEOCON is a valid word short for Neo-conservative (the new conservative; , I asked the question about a week ago why NEOCONS are so sensitive to it. It's valid, I'm sorry if you don't like it. I'll see if I can dig it up for you.

The Liberals don't even know what a Neo-Conservative or a Neo-Con is.

A Neo-Conservative is an Ex-Liberal turned Conservative (I guess that would be me for sure since I am an Ex-Liberal turned Conservative).

Neo-Con is a slur for a Jewish person.

They don't want an answer. They just want to vent and they do it by utilizing name calling. People who ask questions like that are set in their ways, close-minded and don't care what the answers are.
