Please read my book on politics. In it, are many quotes from our past presidents that were very against democracy. True democracy is tryanny, pure and simple. Pure democracy was the worst of Rome and Germany and many other civilizations.
Do you know what freedom is? It is protection of the minority, not majority rule.
Now I have to say this, that the current neocons are not like our forefathers. They are on the fence, with one foot in liberty, and one foot in entrenched interests. They do not align with the rest of us people.
So my question to you is, do you know that democracy has no moral foundation, since it is totally relative and can be anything. I'm sorry, I need to raise a family and know that I can act. Democracy does not provide that stability. Only true liberty and freedom does that. True liberty and freedom can not be voted on. Either they exist, or they do not.

You are so naive. True democracy? Next I suppose you will tell me that we live under a democracy? Democracy is mob rule. If we had a small commune of 100 people, (49 women, and 51 men) and were governed under a democracy, then one day the men could put up a proposition to be voted on by the democracy. The proposition would read "Rape of women is not a crime" All in favor say aye, all opposed say nay. Proposition carries, 51 to 49. RUN women!! No. we do not live in a Democracy, we live in a REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC.

I don't know about democracy, but President Bush is definitely a hypocrite when it comes to freedom. He spends all day talking about freedom in Iraq, then comes home and tries to convince people they should take away the freedom of two homosexuals to marry eachother. That's patently ridiculous, not to mention unconstitutional. It's embarassing for the President and all who support him.

I would say democracy is where everyone votes and decides who their leader will be- what was the final vote tally in 2004?... (in case you are unsure, Bush won by 4 million votes)

Not a neo con. But do you think any of those old bastards give a damn about democracy? they only want to spread democracy in countries with oil or poppies (to make drugs).
It's all about POWER, and has nothing to do with democracy or human dignity.
