I hope you have the right transmission there are four different configurations for the 2wheel and six for the 4wheel and all have their own shaft as well so might like to look into to that before you ruin that one too.

it could be the modulator on the side of the trans or you could check the down shift cable or check to see if its got a electric down shift,could be going bad.

, replace the bell housing clutch and make sure you inspect, all the clutch plates and do not touch it with your bare hands
