Yeah, I hate when people on here say that the winning team cheated out their team just because they can't accept defeat, but I totally agree with you on this one!!! Italy and Spain were cheated out on that World Cup, and it was so obvious!!!

What happened in 2002, happened in 2002. There's no need to blame South Korea for an excellent performance in their home country. Totti was sent off for diving, and if you look at the replays, there was negligible amounts of illegal contact. It was up to the referee to decide call foul, dive, or play on. Unfortunately for Totti and Italy, the referee, who was 15-20 yard behind the play, he thought Totti was diving- a deed punishable with a yellow card.
For Joaquin's saved penalty kick, if you look at the replays, you will see that the Spanish player stutter-stepped. That is also know as faking a shot, the goalkeeper was allowed to move when a player fakes a shot. Obviously this was legal because there was a sideline referee purposely placed at the corner to see the goalie's movements. So again, you are wrong.
As for the "goal" for France, the replays do not provide a good angle to view the position of the ball when the keeper sent the ball away. Unless the keeper was in the second dimension, he probably could extend his arm beyond his body. Why don't you see how far you can extend your arm beyond your body. In fact, do an experiment: see if your arm is long enough to go over to the other side of the line when you stand on one side of it. My guess is that you can, and the keeper could probably do the same. And again, there was a sideline ref placed at the corner to see the position of the ball. Unless he was blind, or looking away, he probably would have seen whether or not the ball had gone into the net.
Just correcting you. Although some of the calls were questionable, those were the referees' decisions. Instead of complaining, shut up and watch the game.
Update: To nhan_andy
First of all, I apologize about telling you to shut up, I mistook you for one of those people who have no idea about football and just come to this site to post senseless questions about their team losing, the other team cheating, etc. I have no patience for those ignorant people and my belligerent comment to you was misdirected.
About the PK, if you watch Joaquin's PK you will notice that the Goalie's forward movement coincided with Joaquin;s stutter steps. The goalie was merely predicting the moment of the kick. Again, ask yourself, if the assistant referee saw it, why did they let the save be counted? Obviously whatever the goalie did was legal. And before you say that everything thing that the referees said in the game was not correct i remind you that FIFA purposely put the assistant referee at the corner to see the position of the goalie.
We all have opinions, you've stated yours and I've stated mine. I respect you opinion but I think it's wrong; likewise, you think mine is wrong. I don't feel like having a big argument about this. How about a cease-fire?
