I enjoy looking at all that SPEAKS to my imagination. The night sky, for instance. A mountain range seen from afar. Wild woods. Beautiful hair. Ballet.
I enjoy looking at all that has a slight HYPNOTIC effect. Countless tiny waves on a lake. Leaves from a tree, moving in the wind. Snowing. Schools of fishes.
There exist sights that combine these two qualities. I never write about these. Maybe I should?

The trees and flowers here at home (Hawaii) everything is so vibrant it is just amazing. They have a really cool tree that the branches come out from the trunk from the bottom to the top to create a fan... it is just so cool! And the birds of paradise flowers are just so pretty! They actually look like birds. I love to go on walks just to see natural color and the smell that it releases. I live right next to a pineapple field so on hot days I can actually smell pineapple when I go outside... it is so great!

I love the sunset on this lake, pinks and oranges all blended together. There are too many little finches to count today at our feeders. The gold ones with the black wings are brilliant, but that tiny little chickadee rules. There are two robins takeing turns in the bird bat wish we could have fun like their having. And there are 6 low-riders..doves that are totally rolypoly running around in a circle at the base of the feeders.

The 'eye' of my mind took a jouney to my heart and we 'felt' the Love at my local large beautiful lake park... the music of the birds, the sightings of deer, rabbits, pheasants, the sound of bull frogs, the morning due and fog, the rise of the sun with all the colors, the still of the lake... all the creatures... pedators and consumers... and there was the Love.

Crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. Absolutely beautiful. and then when the water gets dark in the distance where the drop off occurs. pretty amazing. But it doesnt get any better than looking down through the water to see your toes in the white sand. awesome. truly awesome!

The Light that emanates from everything in sight..... giving a luminous sheen to the pine trees and sagebrush and wildflowers. This happens when I'm running the mountain trails near my home in the Sierra Nevadas. It makes me feel immortal..... and giddy with bliss and gratitude for everything simple, and humble with life.
Blessings....

Actually I prefer civilization to nature. The success of human endeavor to build cities and skyscrapers and superhighways is much more inspirational to me than a bunch of rivers or beaches or mountains that just happen to be there through no will of their own.

I don't get to see them here in Nebraska, but when I get to see mountains, that's a feast for my eyes. Dark green forests are easier to find here, they're great too. I love all the varying shades of green.

a loud, booming, beautiful summer night thunderstorm. It raises the hair on my arms. Nothing compares to the smell of the air just before and just after a storm.
