Can a diabetic become a teacher, lawyer, doctor? Do you believe everyone who works for the CIA is an "operative"? The CIA employs clerks, secretaries, librarians, janitors, etc. The CIA does conduct a background check on employees as do Las Vegas casinos, Atlantic City casinos, and many Native American casinos, and many other business entities. If you have a felony conviction or are considered a "risk" you will not be considered for employment.

I'm fairly sure they'd have to hire you unless there was some other reason because I think it'd be like.. discrimination against diabetics if they didn't.
