I easily have a 1966 Pontiac Tempest with the inlien 6 cylinder engine. that's not the sprint version. the clarification the inline 6 cyliner became discontinued became simply by all of us wanting the V8, and inexpensive gasoline expenditures. imagine on it......the sixty 4 GTO got here with the 389. The die became forged. The inline performance 6 became a strong engine regardless of the indisputable fact that it lacked revenues and ought to no longer cover production costs. It became an engine earlier than that is time. No 6 cyliner is made to rev to ten,000 RPMs. Engines both struggle through from valve opt for the flow, or surely run out of air in commonly aspirated engines. Do extra study in the previous you throw this engine lower than the bus. that's creation on the time of intense horsepower and espresso gasoline expenditures and inexpensive coverage doomed the engine.

There may be a brace on the rear of the starter and there are wires connected to the solenoid on top of the starter.

If it is still tightly attached It's probably got a screw or two in the flex plate cover. if it is wobbly now just work it out. It might be hung up on the flex plate/flywheel.
