I am 14 and still look like a little girl. Should I be worried?

All of my friends started getting boobs and stuff when they were 10 or 11. Some even earlier. but nothing has happened to me. I seriously look like I am 8, no boobs or public hair or anything. Most of the time it does not bother me but lately it has. Wearing a swimsuit is embarrasing for me. I went to a family reunion at a lake and while changing, peeked at my 10 year old cousin. Even she has started. Not fair! My friends tell me how lucky i am not having to worry about my period and stuff. They are all crazy. I just want to be like evryone else. Is there anybody else out there like me? Will I be okay? Thank you!

Everybody matures at different rates and stages. I know it's not easy to not be like everyone else, but it is the same for you 10 year old cousin who is advancing so early. Be patient if you can, and try to focus on the positive things about your body instead of the negative. You won't be a kid forever...trust me..

I really wouldn't worry about it. My daughter is almost 21 and most of the time she looks about 14. For years I never looked my age. At 35 I was still being carded to buy beer. You will grow and will start looking your age. I know that it is a pain right now but as you get older you will like looking younger than you are.

You can't hurry nature. It may be annoying now, but you will have the next 40 years to deal with menstruation and all that. Time will pass and before you know it, everything will start to change. You will be okay, no doubt about it. Every person is different and everyone develops at a different rate.

No, dont worry. Its good to not grow up so quickly. Apparently there is evidence from research which says that the older you are when you get your first period, the less likely you are to develop breast and ovarian cancers in later life. Honestly, you WILL develop and it will happen all of a sudden so enjoy your youth while it lasts.

well girl it seems late to not have pubic hair or anything else, but then again some girls dont develop until they are 16. but it also might be degenerative disease. i know how you feel though, im 23 and look like im 16, small boobs and baby faced. hand in there, but if your really concerned go to the doctor.

Yes, I thought that I wanted to grow up, but when I fiannly did, I didn't want to! It's kind of a pain. And you are normal. People do mature at different ages. Usually the later you have your period and stuff, the taller you'll be. But that might not be right....but yes you are PERFECTLY normal!

u will be fine.. my younger sister.. is 15 an ppl always think that she is bout 10... and i had a friend in middle school.. and she was the same way u r.. and just bout when we went 2 high school.. she changed and now she has bigger boobs then me.. ur time will come.. and its good 2 look younger believe u will love it when ur older..

Trust me you will fill out. Sometimes it just takes awhile longer. I went through the same things. But please dont be like me and turn to the wrong things to try to feel that void. Im 21 and have 4 kids because I wanted to feel normal and so I did what the guy wanted and voila. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!!!!!! Just be wise and patient.

Oh, I'm sure you don't look 8! But even if you are 'maturing' slower than your mates, don't worry about it. When you finally blossom, it will probably knock the guys socks off! Just be patient.

You are a little girl, sweet heart. I am 21 and people say I look from 12-16. So chill....It's not that big of a deal.
