Where is a good place to dine and dance to music from the 50' and 60's ? No bars or hole in the wall, some where a person can enjoy and have fun, no problems.

There is a great dance community here in San Antonio. You can try places like Sams Burger Joint, which has swing dance night every Monday. It does have a bar, though and though it isn't exactly a hole in the wall, it is not exaclty upscale, either. If you are thinking of more of a Ballroom Dancing kind of establishment where the men wear jackets, etc., try Turtle Creek Ballroom -- though I cannot remember if they serve dinner there. If you want a real Texas experience, try a place like Leon Springs Dance Hall, where you can dance a two-step to a country band while eating some of Texas' finest Barbeque. If you could be more specific about what you are looking for, I could point you to some other places as well.

With all nightclubs, there is going to be a bar involved... And I don't know about Polly Esthers, on the Riverwalk... I was thinking maybe them, but come to think of it, there is probably 70's, 80's and up...
