Not sure what that white pastey matter is if you are brushing regularly. You should be flossing too...otherwise that stuff will harden and it will be a real mess for a dentist/periodontist to get off. You should definitely be going to the dentist every six months and discuss that problem there. You don't want to go into gum disease. Also you should be changing your toothbrush every 6 months and be using soft bristles. Harder ones wear away at your gums.
