I've had trouble with this annoying steriotype since I got to be an older teen and didn't start acting more girly.
I'm a tomboy but I'm straight as a poker, I just wear lose or baggy clothes instead of fitted ones and I don't bother with makeup or anything like that.

And almost none of my friends are girls, I like boyish entertainment like action movies, LARPing and video games better than girly stuff (I HATE shopping, for example) and I get along with guys way better than with girls.

I think that it is bad to make assumptions just based on how someone dresses and what things they like to do. You'll be wrong as often as you are right. But maybe if someone was LOOKING for a young butch lesbian, they'd check you out. Just let them know where you are.

Sometimes we all make snap judgements like that. I did with a girl who came to work where I do. She is very masculine, baggy clothes, a "strut" in her walk, deep voice etc. Many of us assumed she was gay, which we later found she wasn't. OOOPS lol.
Don't worry about fitting into a category or a label. Be yourself and be happy. You will eventually meet a guy who doesn;t care about the "girly"image, and appreciate the fact that you two will prolly have a better time together and more in common than he would with a stereotypical "girly-girl" because you have similar interests and hobbies.

I am a tomboy too. Alot of people think that I'm a girly girl, but I love getting dirty, I've never worn a dress out of my will, i like boy toys and other games, just depends on my mood, kind of what the other answerer said. That is a very bad thing to label people for what they like.

a mix. i'm a lot less of a tom boy than i became yet i love days the position i am going to easily walk round in joggers and operating shoes, i love pc video games and some action videos. I also swear extremely lots. yet then I also love dressing up all astounding in better girly clothing, i love making waiting for nights out the position i'm waiting to placed on heels and a gown and do my hair all astounding. i love having my nails painted and watching romantic comedies. purely relies upon what kind of mood i'm in i assume. wondering decrease back in spite of the indisputable fact that, it is magnificent how a lot i have replaced over the perfect few years, I used to stay in jeans and hoodies yet now I stay in leggings and jumpers. BQ: I stay contained in the U. S. it is always garbage right here, the elements is freezing. it is meant to be like -6 ranges tonight the position I stay. No snow the position I stay in spite of the indisputable fact that it is meant to on Thursday and Friday so palms crossed!

Nope, I know it has nothing to do with how you look. That is just a sterotype. But it shouldn't be a diss either. Guess you will have to feel a little bit of the pain that comes with being different, but different is good so you get points in the long run.

I would assume that you are fairly confident and don't feel drawn to girly stuff cause a lot of it meaningless shite. I might assume you are lesbian if I had to take a guess from your looks or behaviour but since I'm pretty open minded I would reserve judgement until I really knew you.

Only you can determine your sexuality. You sound a lot like me. i can be as tomboyish or as girlie as i want depending on my mood. however, you are the way you are. if you're straight that's fine just remember a guy will take you more seriously as a "girlfriend" than a "buddy" if you let out your fem. side now and again.

Personally, it seems anyone in their late teens, no matter how they dress/act is likely to be bisexual. After all, seems to be the new 'In' thing. Maybe I'm just turning into an old Flag (minus the L), but that's how it seems these days.

As a gay man, I don't make those kinds of assumptions. You will lose some hetero privelidge though, because some other people WILL make said assumptions, for which I'm sorry.

No. I wouldn't think that at all. There are tons of tomboy-type girls who are straight.
