I think everyone is, one way or the other. It's natural actually.
I will admit I am. Now, I won't prejudge you or treat you badly because of your race, but I will harbor certain attitudes in my dealings with you...know what I mean?

Like, for example...how many white women would walk the other way if they saw a big black guy walking down their way on a lonely street?
Stuff like that.
I bet even the open-minded ones would.

People are different. To try and pretend otherwise is stupid. Everyone has human dignity, and no life is less valuable than another ontologically, but that doesn't mean we are carbon copies of each other.
For example, black people can run faster and jump higher; that's why there are so many in the NBA. There's nothing wrong with saying that (it's a compliment anyway) because it's true.

First of all i beg to differ, many people are racist yes. Though many people are far from racist. Let it be said by your example of a woman afraid of big black guys at night, that same woman would be afraid of me and my large white friends too.
I am not racist. I have preferences in what i find more attractive in women. Though i would go out of my way to treat one type of people with less dignity than others.
After reading enough history, i realize that we all are in need of some genuine respect of all peoples. We are going to need us all if we are to solve the major problems faced by humanity in the 21st century.

a racist is someone who treats another harshly, badly, unfairly (u get the idea) for no other reason than that of their race.
Being frightened by a big black guy walking down the street doesn't make you a racist.....niether does making decisions based on your perception of another person or groups of people.
It's when you are unwilling to change your point of view

rac·ism (rszm)
NOUN:
1. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race. (1)
Based on those definitions, I am not a racist. Do stereotypes cross my mind? Sometimes, though I do my best to figure out how they got there, and not to apply them to an entire "racial" group. There are also people and groups whose cultural differences make me uncomfortable, so I prefer not to spend much time with them.

each and absolutely everyone is racist in some kind or yet another. You admit to being a racist, yet you at the instant are not an severe racist, it quite is high quality. you want to be along with your variety of folk and that i have no issue with that. I grew up and am nevertheless residing in the south, so I grew up listening to the N word from uncles, cousins, so, that word would not difficulty me.yet when white anybody is termed crackers to their face then i believe black human beings ought to correctly be said as ******* to their face. the in ordinary words vast difference is, maximum white human beings do not get indignant by using it. in spite of this, my racist perspectives, even as they could not be severe are there because i changed into not in any respect round black human beings growing to be up. In my graduating type in severe college, we had seven-hundred human beings... 4 were black. college turned right into a marvel to me, because of the kinds of folk I hung out with: black, asian, latino.. all of us had our arguements and disagreements, yet we were given over them and continually ended up having beverages together. This u . s . a . is a melting pot and racism will continually exist, yet when we are able to save the extremists to a minimum we will be okay.

Race is not the only way to be prejudiced. Look at what some say about people who are in any way different than them. Me, I hate bigots of ANY race!

I am not racist.
I would be wary of any large male walking towards me at night, no matter the colour.
