No because to the people who like the other genre's its the other way around. Its whatever music which you can relate to that gives you meaning. Not one above the other.

A DUH!!!! I think that I have told you this before, but country is the best music in the WORLD!!! No world isn't big enough. UNIVERSE!!!!!!! Country actually has a meaning to the songs. No matter what mood you are in, country always has a song that you can relate to and touch your heart. And if you don't get hit by one of those songs, you have no soul. Country is, I think, the only genre that people can relate to. I don't know what so many people don't like it. It isn't just talking about losing your girlfriend, boyfriend, dog, house, truck, whatever. It is about so much more and I think that people need to appreciate the songs, words and meaning more than they do now. I think that rap has effected peoples minds into thinking that music only has to be about girls @$$'s and breast and f-ing all the time. It sickens me. And I'm not even an old lady. Now, I also know that rap isn't the only other genre out there and that I shouldn't compare everything to it, but there are a lot of other genres that only focus on one thing. Country can relate to anything, as I said before, and I spit on anyone who puts it down before they hear the entire opportunity country music has to offer.
I know, I am way to into my music. But I know what I like is good, and I hate it when people put me or the things I love down without giving it a chance. So sorry if I sound like a broken record, but country is the best, and who cares what everyone else says. =]

Basically, no... but let me explain.

Diffrent genres of music have meaning to diffrent people.

I am not a huge fan of gangsta rap....
...but I have never lived in the streets of brooklyn so the music doesn't have the meaning to me.

I have lived in the country and spent time on a farm, so I can identify with country music lyrics.

The music that has the MOST meaning to me is the stuff that brings back fond memories, or makes a statement... it doesn't come in any particular Genre.

You know I'm not sure. I love country music because of the "meaning" in the songs. ...But I also love classic rock, rap, reggae, hip pop, oldies, reggatone, etc. It's really hard to say whether any genre of music has more meaning than the other. I love music period.

Yea it does. Rap is mostly about men beatin there wifes or g/f or doin drugs or gettin drunk. Punk (some of its ok) is mostly bout killin urself, or hurtin ur self. And Most of Rock is about sex,or drugs.. So yes I do believe Country is more relatable than other kinda of Music.

No and yes, because mainstream country is mostly about honky tonkin drinkin' and fightin' and cheating and it's generic so it really doesn't have a meaning. Not saying that all country is bad because alot not mainstream country bands do have meaning.

No. Country music is sooooooooooo predictable. There's no creativity, and therefore has no meaning to me.

Yeah because most songs actually have a meaning behind them or you can relate them to real life.
