Most presidents retire from politics once they learn the country hates them, but Carter keeps on going! Remember when he gave N. Korea a clean bill of health back in the clinton days? And when he helped put the mentally ill aristide back in power in haiti? 1976-2006, retire already!

For those of you who think this is sedition, remember, this isn't the 1750s where insulting the King was a crime. To update you, we had a revolutionary war to ensure that dissent was a guaranteed right. Welcome to 2006. Now take off your azzhat and grow up.

I remember Jimmy Carter well. He was the president from 1977 to 1981. His pet project, like immigration with Bush, was peanut farmers, that's why peanuts are so expensive. He all but swore that if America was under nuclear attack, he would not push the button to protect us he felt it was unfair and scared him. Inflation and unemployment were considered higher than what it was during the depression. He also failed every attempt to free the hostages.
He was perceived as weak and I recall the emotions he would show on TV as almost crying that he would never defend America against a nuclear attack.
If he was in office when the Cuban missle crisis happened, those missiles would still be there in my opinion.

Yeah, he should be on the corporate dole like Poppy is and Ronnie was (before he completly lost his marbles)!!
Carter made the mistake of refusing to play the political game in Washington. He tried to run an honest government and got burned very badly by the Washington insiders from both his own party, and the opposition. This made him look weak, and ineffective. The deal the Republicans made with Iran to not release the hostiges until after the election just made it worse.
EDIT: IF you knew you history, you'd know there was another sedition law passed during WWI (another imperialist and corporate war) to used to arrest socialist and other people of concience from speaking out against the "war effort". And no, speaking against President Carter is no more sedition than speaking against the Bush administration is.

Bad President. Good ex-President.
Name another ex-President who has worked to build homes for the poor.
He also criticized bush for the pardon of Marc Rich and celebrated George W. Bush for his stance on immigration, and is one of only three US Presidents to win a Nobel Peace Prize for negoiating the peace between Israel and Egypt.
Has he made mistakes, yes. But don't disrespect him and completely overlook some of the good that he's done. The worst thing you can say about him is that he's mistaken. His heart is good even when he's wrong.
Besides, I thought the right would like him, because he's a devout Christian.
Then again, what would you know about Christianity, because you support the "bashing open" of liberals' heads.

I wonder if you were even born when he was our President. He is a real humanitarian and a fine person. He continuers to help the poor, and what is so wrong with that? His problem back in the seventies had a lot to do with the fact that he was not really a politcian. Please allow yourself to become educated by reading some books on his life. You will be enlightened .

Carter is a man of faith,
and respect.
In the eyes of the great creator he is to be honored
You insult a man greater than you in achievement and humility.
what is even more pathetic is Carter hasn't been president of over 20 years, and yet here you are obessing.
you shame only yourself.

Your behavior is seditious. You have shown great disrespect for our Former President, and you should, if you have a Patriotic bone in your body, rephrase you question.
Yes, dissent. Yes, disagree. Except for the name calling, your questions are reasonable. But if you intend to insult our elected leaders, expect us to call your behavior what it is; seditious.
If you do change your question, PLEASE contact me to change my answer, as you will have no longer sided with the seditious people who are even now attacking our current President and our country. Don't join them.
