yes it is illegal. Indonesia would be the best place to go to if you want to see one.

Even small monitor lizards can be extremely difficult to tame, and without daily handling can turn into monsters that can inflict some serious wounds.
Komodo dragons are not legal to keep as pets. Their saliva is chock full of bacteria that can kill animals as large as buffalo, so you can only imagine what it could do to you.
If you want a lizard as a pet, consider something small and friendly like a bearded dragon or a blue-tongued skink. They are very easy to tame and relatively low-maintenance pets.
Whatever you decide on, please do your research. You and your future pet will both be happier that you did.

Dragons are not real they are a mythical creature that has never been proven to exist.

there are several lizards that are called dragons but have none of the characteristics of the mythical creature.
komodo dragons are protected and you would be putting yourself at risk to even try to get near one.
Buy a stuffed dragon and put it in the cage..the do not eat much and are easy to care for.

The Komodo Dragon is an Endangered Species, so unless you buy a zoo, you'll never own one. However, it grows to about ten feet long, and the bacteria in its mouth will kill you. Do yourself a favor, get a Bearded Dragon. They're a lot easier to take care of, and a lot less likely to kill and eat your entire family.

I know spelling doesn't suggest anything but its actually called a komodo dragon and by asking if its "legal" to keep one as a pet i'm guessing you haven't done much research at all. Perhaps you should read more about these creatures so you know what you're getting yourself into!

no.. you would need a very large enclosure. a "cage" would not do. something more along the lines of an enclosed "sanctuary" and yes it's probably illegal. not that they make good pets anyway... what are you going to do try and dress it up in a baby bonnet and take it to coffee shops with you? get a less lethal monitor lizard...

why would you want it anyway? well you can find some in indonesia but i dont think its even legal. you could die from infection if it bit you. just get a bearded draon or a small monitor lizard which is a cousin of the komodo dragon.

Don't ask those kind of questions unless you know we live in your area, you don't ship reptiles so it would have to be close in your area so that cant be answered.

DEFINITELY not legal in the pet trade... too endangered, too dangerous. Besides, a "cage" would never be big enough for one of those, you'd need something the size of a room... or larger
