I have this concord grapevine that is invested with these black soft shell beatles, all sitting together, ten or more, on one or two leaves, leaving a dried out, sometimes shriveled leave, sometimes the leaves are eaten. What do I do to get rid of them.

If you want to get serious with insects try cyfluthrin. More than one company makes it and it is basically safe to use on crops. It's the strongest bug killer I know of.

Make sure that it does not have imdalcoprid in with it. Imdalcoprid is sometimes mixed with cyfluthrin as a systemic insecticide. NEVER use systemic insecticides on crops, and fungicides for that matter.

Bayer makes the chemical, but other companies do too.

I hope you can save your grapes!

Spray the vines with a blended mixture of cayenne pepper and bay leaves.

Whaddaya mean? The Beatles are great! ....Oh, those beetles. In that case, try Sevin Dust. It works quite well, and is available at most garden stores.
