I had a rap music question that is over, but how do I write lyrics for rock music?

I like the bands like Staind, Linkin Park, Korn, and all of them good ones that are popular..I always wanted to sing like Chester from Linkin Park with the screaming voice..how can I start a song as far as writing it?

"Inside of me" "Im breaking" "Im about to break" "It hurts, I hurt"

Use lines like the above, and base songs on them. Mainly, you want to pretend the crowd is a girlfriend (or boyfriend) that left you or is trying to butt-ram you.

You want to get as close to crying as possible, without actually crying. But if you do cry, yell louder to accentuate your rage.

"Im enraged" and alike lines will help to empower your yelling. With the occasional "Arghhhh".

Stomp your right foot. But not both. If you jump, stomp one foot harder than the rest.

Do a 2 second "rap" and then proceed to near crying again.

Repeat this process over and over again.

I'd usually start by saying something straightforward and direct. At least it should catch the attention of the person you're singing to. Sheila Davis wrote some really good books about this.

Just be creative. I make songs when I come up with rhymes that make sense. rhyming dictionaries only help me when I'm absolutely lost for rhymes.

basicly, just search your soul for some good words, and put em down on paper, dosen't really matter what about, as long as your creative, and original.
