What is a good way to overcome the fear of going to a club alone?

i'm in my mid 30's, reciently widowed and like to go out to a club and enjoy myself and perhaps meet some new people.

The best way to get over a fear is to force yourself to face it. Force yourself one night to go to a club and you'll probably find out that's there's nothing to fear.
