I wouldn't say that the 'media' is always wrong, but I do believe that the 'media' is slanted and has a specific agenda. I don't think people should use the media as their primary source for information.

They make up more then they see.
I was involved in a couple situations on search & rescue that made the paper. When we read the story we first thought they were reporting a different story it was so far from what really happened.

Occasionally...but their biggest fault is that they tend to present selected information designed to cause the viewer or reader to reach a conclusion desired by the reporter/editor/etc.
That's the same thing advertising does...actually it's a form of propaganda instead of true journalism.
