Maybe there is an unresolved past in that house, maybe it's your mind having dreams with major events in your life. I get those dreams often, it can be a range of things, but I believe it's one of the first two.

You are still feeling like you are living in another person's house, it will take a while until it becomes "yours".
If you were a dog you could just pee everwhere and mark your new house. Since you are human you will just have to get comfortable. Sit on your favorite chair, do something familiar.

First you have to ask who or what came to your house. This can be figured out by knowing what is troubling you that you can't seem to overcome. The unwanted visitor represents that. The house represents you inner sanctuary.
