John McEnroe was the most entertaining as well as a very talented tennis player on multiple surfaces. Although his antics and outbursts were always present in most of his matches, this did not interfer with his execution of his game.
The best player for many years was Pete Sampras; however we are now so fortunate to have a player of Roger Federer's caliber, talent and outstanding character to execute the game of tennis with such perfection, respect and grace.
These are just MY opinions. Jean Black

Graf was the best female tennis player. Pete Sampras was the best men's player though Andre Agassi was one of the most entertaining players

The male/female tennis showdown between Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King was a great moment in Tennis.
The pre-match hype was very entertaining. Bobby Riggs felt so sure of himself and Billie Jean King smiled at the accusations of her being a woman and inferior and Riggs being so much better because he was a man.

Definitely, John McEnroe. He came to Charleston on a tour, and kept the crowd laughing. He also kept the crowd engaged when he played regular matches, because he had such a bad temper.
I wish he was still playing. We need excitement in tennis.

Baghsatis' emotions were pretty entertaining after each point. But I have to say Andy Roddick entertains me a lot.

Roger Federer. Sure, he could be a little more animated on court, but his sheer variety of shot makes him a pleasure to watch. Anyone who get's their own ESPN "Funhouse" segment has got to be pretty entertaining.
If on(and)off-court antics are what you're after. I'd say Goran Ivanisevic. He could come up with some crazy shots, and you could fill a book with his interesting/absurd quotes.

All-time, I'd say Agassi or J-Mac. Roddick can be hilarious, though. In one of his recent matches at Wimbledon, the chair ref called something right before he was about to serve. He wound up going to the ref and saying "Neither of us heard you!" The ref replied "If you didn't hear me, how did you know I said anything?", to which Roddick replied "Because I was lying and you caught me!"
As I said, hilarious.
