I have to ask this question just because of some of the answers on Yahoo and people I meet. Someone asked what a word meant and sure enough a liberal had to take a cheap shot at GWB. The question had nothing to do with politics but this individual had to make a political statement even though it had no place.

Why?

I once got in a discussion with a liberal who was argueing that GWB was responsible for the tsunami that hit SE Asia. Can you believe that?

Why are liberals so angry? You would think GWB went into thier homes and took a dump on thier living room floor with some of the hateful things people say.

Now, these guys have every right to voice thier views and I will be the first to defend that right for them, but can't we be more constructive?

Just wanted to thank most of you for the great intelligent answers. A lot of liberals have chimed in with good points and I will always welcome that.

Kepp them coming.

And to all those who blame Bush for Katrina, Bill Clinton had the same opportunity and did nothing. Is he to blame also? I think state and local politicians might have to take at least some of the blame.

yes, there are kooky conservatives also and they make conservatives look bad but they don't make front page news like Cindy Sheehan, Hilary, Murtha, Dean, and Kerry. For goodness sakes with the exception of Sheehan, they are the leaders of the democratic party.

Many of you are correct. Just because you are a democrat doesn't mean you are a liberal. I have friends who are liberal, conservative, and very kooky on both ends.

Keep the answers coming.

Liberals didn't start a war? Huh.

Last I checked John Kerry, Hillary Clinton and the vast majority of democrats voted to send our troops to Iraq also. They ranted about Saddam having WMD's too. Its a matter of congressional record.

Are some of you still ignorant enough to think the Iraq war was about oil?

I said intelligent answers. You listening Perry L?

I hope that you take this answer as sincerely as I mean it. I am what many conservatives would immediately label as a liberal, even though I do not consider myself one, this is due to the fact that I am a Democrat. The reason that many of these people speak to you in such a manner is not due to their political leanings but rather due to the fact that they are human beings just like yourself. I too have experienced how rude and idiotic certain conservatives can be, and I too am tempted to believe that it is due to their ideology and mentality, but the more logical answer is that they are just over passionate about their stance. To liberals, the Republican, conservative agenda is destroying the fabric of their nation and their home, I have noticed that many conservatives feel the same way about the liberal agenda, that it goes against their values and their way of life. This is merely a side effect of the love we both share for this great nation, and the sad and dangerous thing that people seldom realise is that this type of bickering between the same sides that love this country the same amount, does'nt lead to good or healing of the country, it just leads to the slow division and death of this country. I also have felt the same way that you do, as if there was something inherrently different about "the other side" but that type of thinking is really just self defeating. Sure there really are probably statistical and social differences in both camps, but what brings us all together is the fact that if we care enough to argue or even insult each other over this country, the fact still remains that we both care. So there are always going to be people that are not civil and not polite, but it really is true that for one of those people, there are ten others that just want to hear the other side of the arguement.

First of all what else should they do? I mean they get blamed by the right for everything even though they have no power. It's the righties that control Congress and the White House. And it's time for righties to stop bringing up Clinton. He's been out of office for almost ten years.
As for the Tsunami, whoever said Bush the second had anything to with it is probably just trying to piss you off. However, when he had the opportunity to strengthen the levys around NO in 2000-01 he didn't. So while Katrina was the cause of the levys breaking, Bush II could have done something about that earlier and maybe it wouldn't have been so bad.
Liberals are angry because global U.S. policies that are doing more harm than good are being carried out in their name. While Bush is no facist, he is certainly heading down that road more so than any president in American history.

Because they are politicians lol....however, I think what you really mean to ask is "Why do Liberals always take advantage of something irrelevant to make Conservatives look bad?"

Answer: Because unless America fails in Iraq and unless there is another attack on this nation, Democrats will have a hard time winning elections for the next century. Why do you think they are protesting the means of gathering intelligence!? Can you say: Pull out troops from Iraq = NO ZARQAWI DEATH!....no monitoring of the internet and chats and NO FOILED NYC PLOT....

and tonalc1....i believe Hillary Clinton blames Bush and COnservatives all the time for Hurricanes and the Tsunami because of "global warming"....

If you really support a persons right to voice their opinion, then why you're frustration with what their opinion might be?
What could make them so angry? Are you at all familiar with the way right wing radio castigates alternate opinion?
In the question 'what is a Democrat' (link below) look at the answers from the right! 'Traitor'??; 'someone deceived or fundamentally evil'?? These are not cheap shots at the celeb figurehead of the organization, but a castigation of the entire population who don't agree with the Republican Party platform, regardless the rationale. The bad behaviour in the inter-political relationships do not come from the left. The intolerance of others comes from the right.

I'm sorry that you have met liberals that said stupid things. It's true a lot of liberals say ridiculous things that are driven more by emotion that facts and logic. But, so do people that are right-wing.

It's true that a lot of people who hate GWB are just people following the trend, and say things like "George Bush is evil/dumb/etc." without any real reason to back it up.

It doesn't mean that there aren't valid reasons to hate GWB, it's just that the silly teenagers who don't know what they're talking about make liberalism look bad as a whole.

So are you new to this planet? I don't see liberals suggesting "anti Gay marriage" and "flag burning" amendments simply for political gain. Liberals have not started a war just to make some profit for their friends in big business.

GWB is a target because he and his buddies have made us a laughing stock worldwide...fostered more hatred for us worldwide than any other group of politicos...ruined our economy (with the help of a conservative congress) and sucked all hope out of our people.

GWB was not responsible for the Tsunami...but he IS responsible for the aftermath of Katrina in his very own backyard. Guess what we're in hurricane season again and this idiot still isn't prepared...he's been too busy propping up his illegal war.

Your entitled to your opinion thats cool.

but your making a very blanket statement that discredits your arguement and you as an objective.

You do not own up to conservatives doing the same...

F#ck imagine a kid trying to learn science in without religous extremist wanting to conter with theology in a science class.

Or just walking outside the door the evirmonment, crime, even the amount of gas prices.

it is all political..........both sides are guilty the fact you do not acknowlege that is dishonest...

and the guy who said about the tsunami.......he sounds like a kook, just like the right has...........unless he argued that underground nuclear testing can lead to earthquakes and that earthquakes lead to tsunamis.............i don't believe GWB caused the tsunami but there is an argument that isn't kooky.........for it.

Thirteen fox -I agree....They are sore losers with no plan!
Even though Pres. G.W.B. has squandered a lot of our surplus money and put us into debt,he as had a lot of issues to deal with.
I mean if Pres. Clinton had done the job right with OBL...there would not have been a 9/11.
With the current rate that we are comming out of debt will put us in better shape than Pres.Reagan did.
Also the jobs are increasing and the economy is on the rise.

first off... there are kooks on both sides that say all kinds of crazy stuff... like the conservatives protesting the soldiers funerals... but 100 kooks to not a party make...

but I thought "liberal" is a political term for people of a certain political belief? So, your complaining that we "politicize" things in a political forum (I'm assuming you asked it on one of the forums on here), on a political question?

EDIT:

Tom Delay, Duke Cunningham, Bill Frist and Carl Rove have made many front pages and they are the leaders of the party too... and Coulter has made some pages too for some "unflattering" ideas...

I see it completely the other way around. Whenever a 'liberal' tries to start political debate, Republicans come back with "homo!" "communist!" fascist!" "traitor!" and usually make no mention of the point that's being argued!

Republicans on here, on the whole, prefer not to enter into political debate at all but seem to literally cover their ears with their hands like a kid and scream "NOT LISTENING, NOT LISTENING" while at the same time spew out God-isms and Bush propoganda.

And you wonder why Liberals are angry?
