There must be a structural flaw in our brains that cause so many of us to choose fantasy and not continue to seek knowledge. Usually, it takes generations for the human brain to evolve and accept new ways of thinking, but in the case of religion, too many thousands of generations have passed without the human brain changing.

Because humanity is firmly rooted in ancient history and is afraid to evolve and learn and face the fact there is no god. That's whay we continue to lie to kids and tell them there's a Santa, and Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, etc. By the time kids grow up, they're afraid to think for themselves and continue to rely upon lies - i.e. religion.

It's sad and thanks to our President, we are de-evolving even further into the past and silly beliefs.
